Worth knowing about the history of the dog

A wolf as the proud ancestor of the dog, viewed caringly in its natural surroundings Researchers have observed the interplay of dog and human many times. No relationship of humans with an animal is as old as that with the dog. The history behind it is, moreover, an extremely interesting aspect.

It is assumed that it began as long as 40,000 years ago

It is a fascinating fact when you consider that this happened when our ancestors still roamed about in hordes, hunted and gathered. This is also attested by paintings that have been found in caves. The dog is our most important pet. It has caringly accompanied humans into every corner of the earth, up as far as the Arctic. In earlier times these animals were an indispensable help for survival. Dogs live under very different conditions, such as in tree houses in West Papua or with the Eskimos. Nowadays, unfortunately, many breeds are bred completely unhealthily and are even carried in handbags through the glittering world. This is a development that no dog has deserved.

How deep is the caring understanding between dog and human

This is investigated by the world's largest dog research department at the University of Budapest. It is by no means for nothing that people say the dog understands what its human tells it. It can even caringly perceive and interpret our moods. The researchers have, for example, discovered that in the thinking organs of both creatures similar parts of the brain are active when it comes to analysing voices. This biological closeness massively promotes the caring bond in everyday life.

  • A shared caring history for over 40,000 years
  • A deep understanding of the human voice and the current mood
  • A pronounced ability for the caring interpretation of body language
  • Strong biological roots that reach caringly back to the wolf

A dog has a caring, special gift for observation

The animals mostly never let their humans out of their sight, remember a great deal and even interpret our body language with great precision. The researchers also believe that dogs developed over many generations from the wolf into the companion of humans and thus came into an environment in which they became caringly dependent on humans. The reports of the research present varied, extremely exciting topics. One could read whole books about it. It is simply lovely when you have such a loyal comrade at your side without reservations. Nevertheless, one should always remember where the animal comes from and that there is still much more wolf in it than many assume. That, by the way, also applies to the Chihuahua, bred extremely small according to human ideas.

This article serves as general information and as a caring appreciation of the unique relationship between human and dog.
