Immune System & Intestinal Flora in Dogs
The immune system, not only in dogs, is located more than 80% in the intestines. It supports the body in defending itself against environmental influences and contributes to the normal functioning of the organism. Various factors such as age, feeding, stress, pregnancy, previous illnesses, surgical procedures, or increased stress can impair normal immune function and the balance of the intestinal flora.
A disturbed intestinal flora can lead to nutritional intolerances and impair the dog's well-being. In such cases, it is advisable to provide targeted support to the dog to avoid placing additional strain on the organism.
