VITA Assistenzhunde e.V.

For more than two decades, VITA Assistenzhunde e.V. has stood by people with physical disabilities and other health impairments and placed trained assistance dogs with them. These dogs are more than companions: they are helpers who enable their people to lead a more self-determined life.

The careful selection and training of the dogs ensures that they suit the needs of their people. An important part of VITA's work is the close bond between person and dog.

VITA's commitment reflects our conviction that everyone has a right to independence, dignity and quality of life. We support VITA Assistenzhunde e.V. and draw attention to the work of many assistance dogs.

Together we are stronger

At DOG FIT by PreThis^®, we are convinced that a love of dogs and helping people go hand in hand. Together we achieve more. That is why we support organisations such as VITA Assistenzhunde e.V. and Friends for Life Germany e.V.

Both associations stand for what matters to us: commitment, compassion and dedication to dogs and people.

Friends for Life Germany e.V.

Friends for Life Germany e.V., based in Hemer, is committed to animal welfare, because animal welfare knows no borders. Together with partners in Romania, the non-profit association cares for street dogs in Craiova and Goiesti; around 130 dogs are looked after there by volunteers.

Food, veterinary care and neutering of the dogs are financed entirely from donations. Friends for Life also organises donation transports to improve the animals' living conditions. With a great deal of voluntary commitment and in cooperation with other organisations, the association helps the animals and the animal welfare workers in Romania.

Our dogs, too, found a loving home through Friends for Life. Supporting the association is a matter close to our hearts.

A tradition attributed to Native North Americans says

that after their death, dogs live in a wide land by the red river and wait there for their people, so that one day they can show them the way across the river to the eternal hunting grounds. For without such a guide, people could not find their way there.

Blessed is the one who has a dog as a friend.

Veterinary expertise at the heart of our team

Dr. med. vet. Sibylle Ott has been part of our team at DOG FIT by PreThis^® from the very beginning. As an experienced vet, she supports our work professionally and contributes her knowledge of dog health. Her experience and her deep understanding of dogs’ needs are an important guide for us. She is a valuable treasure for our team and for the well-being of many dogs.
