We present: Einsatz-Mantrailer rescue dog unit
Wow! Many thanks to the DOG FIT team for letting us introduce ourselves here, and thank you for your support! We, the Einsatz-Mantrailer, are a private rescue dog unit with currently 10 mantrailer teams. We are available on a voluntary and free-of-charge basis for the professional search for missing persons, regardless of whether the alert comes via the police or from a private source. Mantrailers pick up the individual scent of a sought person and follow their trail. In principle, all dogs that have a good hunting instinct and are healthy are suitable. The dog handlers must be tough, enduring and agile. Our dogs are international; origin or breed do not make much difference. Talent alone is not enough. Our common denominator is the exuberant joy of trailing, embedded in a team with solid camaraderie.
The training to become an operational mantrailer team is long and demanding. After many intermediate examinations, the operational teams must be tested every 18 months. We train within the unit, but also regularly attend workshops and seminars. Here we like to work together with Mantrailing-Quality. Jörg Weiß, a former chief police inspector, and his team have decades of experience as operational commanders, unit leaders, rescue dog specialist advisors and rescue dog handlers.
