International communication in "dogese"
Something to smile about with a true message: on a visit to the European Parliament, 21 interpreter booths are available for many different foreign languages. We have the story of the Tower of Babel to thank for that. Back then, God, as punishment for humankind's greedy ambition, jumbled all the languages together. That is why interpreters and correspondents for foreign languages became necessary. Well, roughly speaking.
Dogs apparently did not anger God
The English word „Dog“ read backwards is „God“, and these animals have been given a language valid the world over. They need no translator, because both a play bow between dogs and a growl are understood internationally. Moreover, dogs always communicate with a particular body language that has developed over centuries. Sometimes I think they only bark for us humans. They often combine barking with their body language and delight in how we react to it. When they bark and run to the kitchen cupboard, we do so often immediately go after them and give a treat as a reward.
Body language is subtle with many facets
The animals have the finest signals of their state of mind and many fixed rituals that make international communication child's play. If the diplomats did the same, the world would long since be much better and more peaceful. With a clear play bow, which signals a request to play, one would show, for example, that one only wants to play. If, as a politician, you show your belly, that means, following the canine model, that you will not use your weapons.

You give the competition a wide berth, and you could also wrinkle your nose and bare your teeth to set boundaries. If people did not always interfere, encounters with dogs would also proceed much more peacefully. They are masters of communication, and we could really learn a lot from them.
