Is my dog getting good or bad food?
Our certified nutritionists analyse the food contents in great detail and convey the basic principles of a species-appropriate diet.
If only it were as easy as many feed manufacturers promise. One piece of food and the dog is happy. That would be too good to be true. Have you ever taken a closer look at the food declaration? Do you really understand her? In many cases there is a system behind it, because without the appropriate specialist knowledge, many things read better than they actually are. Unfortunately, many foods also include products that are anything but healthy for dogs.
According to a Belgian study conducted by Lippert and Sapy between 1998 and 2002, dogs have an average life expectancy of 32 to 48 months shorter when fed dry food Dogs that receive high-quality, species-appropriate nutrition - and they only rarely die of old age. But many industrially produced wet foods are anything but healthy.

But I am sure that my dog is getting high-quality food!
Unfortunately we hear that every day! Are you really sure?
- Do you know that 90% of all feed is industrial feed and how it is produced?
- Do you know what nutrients your dog actually needs?
- Do you know what “nutritional physiological additives” means?
- Do you know what “animal and plant by-products” are?
- Do you know how meat must be declared correctly?
- Do you know how you can cheat with the meat content?
- Do you know what contents contain hidden sugar?
- Do you know that grain-free doesn't necessarily mean no grains?
- Do you know why many dry foods are very unhealthy?
- Do you know where the causes of tartar and bad breath can be found?
- Do you know why many additives do not have to be declared?
You already know all this? Then the food check is not for you. Or are you not quite sure?
You are responsible for your dog's health, he can no longer take care of it himself. The food check by our certified dog nutritionist is a first step in the right direction, even if what you may find out makes you feel guilty will do. However, it is never too late to learn something. After all, it's about the health of a family member!
What you get from us
We take a close look at the contents of a dry food, a wet food and a treat, explain to you in detail what is actually hidden behind them and give you recommendations on what you should pay attention to when choosing food. The food check is rounded off with basic information about a species-appropriate diet, an insight into the machinations of the feed industry, information about contents that do not belong in any food and of course you will also receive a feeding tip from us.

Find out what is really in the food and what you can improve!
We offer you our feed check via email at cost price. Why are we doing this? Well, on the one hand, we have been dog owners ourselves for over 35 years, we know the pitfalls of nutrition very well and we know how the feed industry really works. On the other hand, we want all dogs to be fed a healthy and species-appropriate diet, because 90% of all food is so-called industrial food and unfortunately only very few dog owners know this.
Many foods, for example, are a cause of tartar, but this is often only the lesser evil. Many illnesses and intolerances are caused by food and that is why we would like to draw attention to how important nutrition is! We want your dog to stay healthy well into old age. As with us humans, nutrition is the be-all and end-all!
How does the food check work?
After you place your feed check order in the shop, we will contact you by email and send you a link to our online feed check form. After you have filled out the form and sent it to us, we will have all the important information available to accompany you on the path to better health for your dog. Of course, we will also be available to answer any questions you may have after the food check.
Who will do the food check for you?
Each feed check is carried out individually for you by our certified nutritionists based on your information. The contents of the food (you can specify dry and wet food) are analyzed individually and what is behind the declaration is explained to you in an understandable way. Please do not confuse the food check with nutritional advice, they are two different things. However, we give you a lot of important information in the food check.
